The Foundation will announce, at a time designated once every two years, the names of award winners, once the Scientific Committee and chairman of the board of directors approve judging committee’s decisions.

The foundation grants the winner a certificate indicating the project that won plus a medal inscripted with the name of the prize and the logo of the foundation as well as the following financial awards:
- Rank one (2500 JD)
- Rank two (1500 JD)
- Rank three (1000 JD)

Honorary certificates will be awarded to schools at which the winners teach.

Honorary certificates will be presented for some of the non-winning experiments, based on the judging committee’s recommendations.

If a winning project were submitted jointly by more than one teacher, each would be given an honorary certificate and a medal and an equal share of the financial award.

Announcing the award for 2009/2010

Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation invites science teachers in elementary and secondary schools in the Kingdom to participate in the competition for AHS Award for Elementary and Secondary Schools Science Teachers for the year 2003/2004, which is awarded once every two years.

 

Submissions for the award

 

First Stage:

1. Teachers should submit draft science projects in accordance with application of submission, by 1/4/2009.
2. Nearly, twenty projects will be selected for competition for the award in accordance with standards set by the judging committee.
3. Selected projects will receive funding, and a supervisor will be assigned to oversee the development of each of the selected projects in accordance with submitted draft.
   Second Stage:
4. Once completed, projects should be submitted by 1/2/2010 for evaluation and selection of winners.
5. The Foundation will announce the names of winners at a special awarding ceremony.
6. The Foundation will circulate the names of winners, details of projects and the way to recreate them, to maximize benefits to students.
