1- This Award aims to honor and reward Arab translators for their contributions towards bringing to the readership the books published in scientific, technical, social and humanities fields and their translation into the Arabic language or from the Arabic language to other languages.

2- Participation in the Award is open to all Arab translators or to those of Arab extraction throughout the world. The academic panel for the Award may, however, confine competition for the prize to the citizens of one or more specific region. The Award may also be given to an institution, which has distinguished itself by its work for the realization of the aims of this Award.

3- The prize shall be Awarded annually in recognition of a translated book into Arabic in the manifold fields of knowledge, humanities, literature, science, or to a book translated from Arabic into other languages, and which tackles the Arab and Islamic impact and contribution to human civilization.
