Conditions of Nomination
Conditions for the Award and Fields for Which it is Granted
The general framework of the competition is the science curriculum adopted by the Jordanian Ministry of Education for elementary and secondary schools.
The following conditions must be met in order to enter the competition:
- Competition is based on creating science projects that are directly connected to the objectives and means of teaching science curriculum adopted by the Jordanian Ministry of Education for any of the elementary school grades (general science), and in any branch of science for secondary schools (chemistry, physics, biology, earth science.) The project can be a set of comprehensive science experiments, and/or invention of scientific instrument, and/or setting up computer programs formulated with correct arabic aiming at constructing and developing the scientific principles included within the curriculum.
- Project submitted for the competition must be created and developed by the submitting teacher.
- Only one project submission is allowed per participant.
- Instruments used should be submitted along with the project to enable the Judging Committee to try out the experiment.
- Along with the projects, a signed certificate by the principal of the school at which the submitting teacher works, should be attached indicating that the project has been successfully applied and used at the school.
- Several teachers may submit a joint project to the competition.
- Application for entering the competition should be accurately completed to simplify the task of the Committee.
- Teachers who have won the award may not compete for the award again except four years after winning.
- Winning scientific projects are the property of the Foundation and it alone shall have copy and publishing rights to them.
