On Monday 8/8/2011 a cooperation agreement was signed between the Queen Rania Al-Abdullah Society for Excellence in Education and the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation, emanating from the eagerness of both parties to reinforce academic and cultural cooperation between Arab scientific and cultural institutions. The Agreement provided for cooperation in the fields of exchanging invitations to the events held by both parties, in addition to exchanging experiences and information that are of common interest.

The Agreement was signed on behalf of Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation by its Director Thabit Al-Taher, and on behalf of The Queen Rania Al-Abdullah Society for Excellence in Education the executive director of the Award, Lubna Touqan. The signing ceremony was attended by a number of high level persons from the Society and the Foundation.

Al-Taher and Touqan regarded the Agreement as an effort to cement scientific and cultural relations between the two sides in the fields serving their common objectives and aims.
