The Scientific Panel for Abdul Hameed Shoman Prizes for Young Arab Researchers is pleased to invite all those whom it may concern to submit their nominations for Abdul Hameed Shoman Prizes for Young Arab Researchers for the year 2008 in the following six (out of twelve) scientific specializations adopted by the Award. The deadline for receiving nominations is the last day of December 2008.


1- Abdul Hameed Shoman Prize for Chemistry.

2- Abdul Hameed Shoman Prize for Psychological & Educational Sciences.

3- Abdul Hameed Shoman Prize for Agricultural Sciences.

4- Abdul Hameed Shoman Prize for Social Sciences (to include: Sociology, Anthropology, and Political Sciences).

5- Abdul Hameed Shoman Prize for Medical Sciences.

6- Abdul Hameed Shoman Prize for Engineering Sciences.

Nominations for the other six specializations will be announced next year.

The Award is granted to honor individuals for their intellectual and academic contributions that exhibit originality and excellence, and that genuinely enhance and further knowledge.
