Conditions of Nomination

Any submitted work for the Award should meet the following criteria:
  1. It should reflect originality and excellence, and make a genuine contribution to enhancing and furthering knowledge of Jerusalem, in terms of its history, geography, demography and culture.
  2. It should not have previously won any Arab, regional or international award,unless the nominee has added to his/her work a new contribution to justify reconsideration and re-evaluation.
  3. Nominations should be submitted by universities, research centers or academic and cultural institutions. Individual nominations will not be considered.
  4. Nominations should include:
    1. A letter of nomination from the nominating body, stating the name of the nominee and justifications for the nomination.
    2. A detailed curriculum vitae for the nominee attached with a list of his/her published works.
    3. Seven sets of each nominated work ( submitted works will not be returned).
    4. Three recent colour photos of the nominee.
    5. A completed nomination form, including the following information:
      1. Relevant information on the nominee.
      2. Relevant information on the nominating body.
      3. Summary of the nominated work.
      4. Names and dates of previous awards.
