AHS Library is involved in a collaborative effort with the Arab League Educational Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) on a project for the Arabization of Dewey Decimal Classification system, 21st edition, which is considered one of the main tools and instruments for Arab classifiers, as well as the most commonly used in libraries across the Arab world. The Organization, in cooperation with a number of other Arab institutions, is in the process of issuing the paperback and electronic editions of this system. AHS Library is one of those institutions that were chosen by the Organization as representative of the Sham countries and Iraq for this project.
