Teachers Award

Procedures for Competing for the Award

  1. Those who wish to participate in the competition should complete the relevant application form and have it signed by their school principal, along with the latter’s commentary.
  2. Applications should be sent to Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation or its representatives in governorates and districts throughout the Kingdom.
  3. Expert committees at the Foundation will review draft projects presented, and inform, in writing, the teachers whose projects were selected, of the committees’ approval for starting the implementation of said projects. In addition to assigning for each project a supervisor that will oversee its progress at all stages, committees will also determine the amount of funding, if necessary, for projects.
  4. Completed projects should be submitted to the Foundation or its representatives in the governorates and districts during the allotted time period.
  5. The relevant Judging Committee will evaluate submitted projects according to a specific set of standards and will select the winning projects in light of these standards.
  6. The Foundation will announce the results of the competition at the designated time in the award schedule, and awards will be presented for winning projects at a special ceremony.
  7. Each winner should submit an outline of his project that doesn't exceed one page, to be displayed at the foundation's website. They'll also be asked to present a briefing about the project during the ceremony.
  8. The Foundation will circulate at schools, in cooperation with pertinent authorities, the names of winning teachers and their winning projects, as well as details of these projects, the way to recreate them and substances used in them for the benefit of teachers in the Kingdom.
  9. The Foundation will make use of non-winning projects by appropriate methods and means, and may request judging committees to make changes to these projects to make them more effective and useful for teaching.
