In selecting the writers of this project, the institution has referred to an elite of researchers enjoying a prominent standing in the fields of their specialization, and has invited them to prepare the material of each field in a way through which they gather the serious and influential human achievement within the limits of the history of this century, by analysis and criticism, provided that they would allocate a measure thereof to the Arab World.
