Methodological Criteria
The Foundation and the Board of the project, have been careful that an elite of researchers who participated and still participating in the subjects of this project, shall observe the following methodological criteria:
First:
The researcher shall resort, in handling his assigned theme, to the aggregate facts relating to the theme at human and worldwide thought in each of the project sections. The researcher shall be keen in the domain designated for his theme (subject) to allocate a proportion of his research to the Arab World, when the matter relates to real participation, even if by elucidating the Arab situation, and shall try to reply to the question: what is the Arab contribution to these subjects?
Second:
The researcher shall envisage in his research the following aspects:
- What are the main questions, topics, and issues in the field of research? And what where the developments which occurred in this field during the century?
- What are the most prominent accomplishments, theories, or findings with which the theme/science abounds during the century? Who had participated decisively and effectively in forming and developing it?
- What are the most salient problems and challenges posed by the subject/science at the end of the twentieth century and at the onset of the twenty first century?
Third:
The research shall be documented according to scientific rules.
Fourth:
The number of the research words shall range between 8000 and 9000 words (i.e. within the limits of 30 pages).
