1. That the translation shall be characterized by clarity and precision, particularly in the use of terminology, soundness of the language, lucidity of style, and should be devoid of the direct influence of the language from which the translation had been made. 

2. That the publication of the book to be translated shall have been made during the last five years preceding the date of the prize announcement and that the contribution must be presented in printed format. The translator shall present a copy of the translated book. 

3.      That he shall present to the Foundation the following:
- Four copies of the work.
- C.V.
- Adequate information on the translated book and a copy of it.

- A prior permission from the publisher to translate the book. 

4. The winners of the prize shall not have the right to apply for it another time except after the lapse of five years since winning the Award, but those who have failed to win the prize may present it once more .
