Muna Sukhtian is the Managing Director of the Microfund for Women (MFW), targeting low-income women entrepreneurs who are unable to access credit from conventional financial institutions in Jordan.
MFW has received numerous local and international awards, in recognition of its outstanding efforts exerted to serve and employ Jordanian women, through its 50 branches located in different regions in Jordan.
Sukhtian started her career as a Management Consultant in the US, then returned home to work in her family’s international pharmaceutical business. She, then, served as Chief of Staff to Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah.
She is also the Director of the Munir Sukhtian Group, and a Member of the Board of Directors of each of the Consultative Group to Assist the Poor (CGAP), the Queen Rania Award for Excellence in Education, the Queen Rania Teacher Academy, the Royal Film Commission, and the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation.
Sukhtian holds a BA from Harvard University, and an MBA from INSEAD.
